Any tips for getting my whole wheat bread to come out right?

I don't know what the deal is! Every other kind of bread I make comes out PERFECTO (LOL) but my whole wheat bread...that's another story. The middle is ALWAYS doughy and dense. The outside is fine.

I've tried putting foil on them and cooking for 25 minutes. I've tried not using foil and the outside cooked but the inside didn't.

Any ideas?

  • Make a smaller loaf, either thinner or longer, or you could make rolls with it.

  • Are you at a higher altitude? If yes, you def need some white flour. I also don't preheat my oven..I turn it on and put the bread in.
