  • I am Cuban, we have a big dinner the 24th, with pork, black beans and yucca. In new years eve we eat 12 red seedless grapes at the stroke of midnight, one for every month of the year.

  • Every year a week before Christmas, the whole family gets together, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, sisters and brothers. We have a huge grab bag, which is dispersed Thanksgiving, then we get a email of who we have to buy for they put 3 ideas down and we get what we can afford. The kids get separate gifts.

We eat, laugh and catch up, give out photos dance, and every year it snows like a blizzard... Which is crazy with the driving... uhhhhhhh....

I love it, and the kids love it.... I can't wait.... :) Happy Holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We play all types of Christmas song to honor the savior of the world, JESUS CHRIST. We cook traditional PR food. Roast pork(Pernil) Rice w/ Pigeon peas (Arroz con gandules) Potatoe salad, (ensalada de papa) meat patties made of green bananas or yuca (pasteles). For dessert, flan or arroz on dulce. WE usually dance salsa and make alot of noise talking over each other. lol. We open present at midnight.. Then we drink some more, milk and juice I mean. lol
