How do you season your taco meat without using packaged taco seasoning?

I love how Spanish cooks season their taco meat & it tastes nothing like the packaged taco seasoning from the store. Even Taco Bell's meat tastes different then the packaged taco seasoning from the grocery store. So how do you season the meat without using the packaged stuff?

PS I don't like spicy/hot meat

  • I used to use those little packets, but lately I've just used plain ground beef. I liven up the taco with other items instead.

  • I use a copycat Taco Bell seasoning recipe: 2 Tbsp. flour, 2 tsp. chili powder, 1 1/2 tsp. dry minced onion, 1 tsp. paprika, 1 tsp. beef bouillon granules or 1 beef bouillon cube, 3/4 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. garlic powder and 1/4 tsp. sugar. Add red pepper flakes if you like. Easy to make, easy to store, tastes GREAT.
