What is your opinion?

What do you think of the name Jasa (prounced Jay-sah) for a little girl. I'm not expecting, but I was just wondering what other people thought of it.

*Edit- I am not concerned with the spelling of the name. That is the original spelling of the name and I don't feel the need to change it. What I'm really asking is how does it sound? What is the over all impression of the name? Too cutesy or something that could grow into adulthood?

  • I've never heard it before. It's unique and pretty.

  • I like the name but the spelling needs tweeked IMO. It looks like Jas-suh. Maybe Jaisa or Jayca.

  • I love it!! I think it is really pretty. I didn't have a problem with the pronounciation.....but then my DS name is Asa (a-suh), just like Jasa without the J :)

  • Its pretty, but it will probably get mispronounced a lot growing up.

  • I like it, but I dont really like the spelling. It will be mis-pronounced her whole life! I have a name that is kind of hard..and people say it wrong all the time..I HATE IT! Try Jaysa...or Jaisa.

  • It's alright. It kind of makes me think of Asia. And I agree with a previous poster, the spelling could be tweeked. With Jasa, I think it's pronounced "jahhh-suh" or "Jas-suh" (like NASA) instead of "jay-suh".

  • The spelling isn't an issue for me. I like to keep names original, but that is just a personal preference =) I am more inerested in what people think of the sound.
