Yeast Rolls HELP!

I have made my yeast roll recipe for years without problems. Today I experimented with the Highly Active Yeast and I can't get the dough to rise. Any suggestions?

  • Could the yeast have been damaged during the proofing? (if the water is too hot it happens) If it's in a warm place out of drafts, that would be my guess.

  • Have you left it in a warm draft free location? I like to cover mine with a dish towel out of the dryer on the middle rack in the oven with a dish of hot water on the lowest.
