  • I know what you shouldn't do, and that is yell at them. When you are yelling, they think you are joining in and it makes the barking worse. The squirt bottle does work with my dog or I just say the word BATH, and she hides LOL.. but another thing I do, is when she starts barking uncontrollably, I stick her in the other room, until she is quiet, then let her out. And every time she is doing a behavior I like, I praise her by giving her attention. It might take awhile before they get the point, but in order for anything to work, you HAVE TO BE CONSISTENT!

  • Squirt bottle with water. It shocks them without being too cruel.

  • I wonder if that bark off really works.... My dogs don't bark when I'm around (well, they bark when somebody rings the doorbell, but they're supposed to, and they stop when I tell them), but I have a problem with them barking at raccoons and squirrels when I let them out early in the morning. My neigbors don't like it, heh.
