Am I the only one that hears phantom cries?

LOL! No, I'm not crazy (at least I don't think so, haha), but sometimes my son will be in his crib and I swear I hear him crying, only to go into his room and he's asleep. I think sometimes I'm just expecting it so much that I think I hear it, lol, especially when the heater or air conditioning is on or something. My husband will do it too...we'll both stop and go silent, then when we realize he's not really crying, we let out a breath of relief! :)

  • I hear them every night... Just about when I start to drift off to sleep, I think I hear my lil one, usually I get up and go check just to find out he's sound asleep...

  • Phew! I'm glad I'm not the only one, haha!

Yea, Older, my mom says sometimes she hears me too. She also will wake up sometimes and swear she hears me calling her, so clearly. She says it makes her worry that I need her help or something, lol!

  • Ok, so does this mean we're not crazy, even though we're all kind of hearing voices, lol?!

Maybe the crying just eventually drives you a little nuts! :)

  • I did that so much when my son was a new born, and sometimes I still wake up and could have sworn I heard something when really it was all in my mind the whole time. Glad to know it isn't just me :)

  • I do that too, especially if my daughter had been crying already but stopped. Or in the middle of sex. "wait, stop...no, nevermind go ahead."

  • yup.
I remember when dd was a newborn.. my inlaws would come over & tell me to go take a nap while they watch her.. I never rested cuz as soon as id get relaxed id "hear a cry".. and i just worried she was hungry (nursing so they couldnt do that for me! lol)..
I felt bad since i was never resting.. just left to sit in my room, listening, waiting for the cry! lol...
