  • He makes nothing, he died a couple years ago. And yes, it's difficult to live on a budget. We don't have a lot of extras because we can't afford them, and we don't buy what we can't afford. And by extras, I include a lot of things that many people seem to believe are absolutely necessary. When money is tight, you reevaluate and cut down to the "must haves".

  • We live according to our means or maybe under our means, hubby makes whatever he wants an hour, from 200 on up, but even before his practice took off, we didn't have much but were never behind.

  • My husband makes $75/h, and I make $32/h. We don't find it hard to get by because we purchased an affordable home, share one affordable vehicle, are frugal and save a ton. We live WELL within our means. We are not consumerist, and don't derive self esteem from material objects.

  • I make 10 an hour, he is military, so he makes about 3.00 an hour (considering he is on duty 24.7!) We are always on time wiht payments, but have a lot of debt...but after this Christmas, all extra monies are going to pay the debt off...we just had a huge agreement on paying what off when and how to do it
