Any one else think it's time to get rid of affirmative action?

Obviously it's no longer needed.

  • It is def. in force for college entry, they want to meet their quota to make sure it is a diverse school so they will take someone of one race over another even if their scores are lower. I don't think it should have ever have been implemented in the first place because that just divides us in another way....its backwards thinking.

  • They should get rid of it, but I don't think Obama will. It's howhis wife got into Princeton andHarvard, with AA preferences. I don't think he used any, but she states plainly that she did, and she's proud of it.

  • I do. I think it encourages discrimination and hate. We just elected our first minority President. I don't think we need it any longer.

  • Yes, let's get rid of it. Then, I'd like someone to pay back for me the $100,000 in student loans I have because I couldn't get scholarships, even with my good grades and activities because I didn't fall into any ethnic category that had scholarships.
