What's the "dealbreaker" in your marriage?

I used to think that it was adultery, but now, maybe not so much. If it was just once and we went to counseling and the HIV test was negative and, and... But if he HIT ME...the first time that would be it...

What are some dealbreakers for you?

  • I used to think it would be cheating but after all these years (27+), I think we could work throuogh that. But any physical violence towards me or the children would be an immediate and complete end.

  • My husband knows the "Deal Breaker" in our marriage is if he has ANYTHING to do with his exwife! Like I told him, he'd better hope she'd raise his kids! And I would not envy because he'd be the one spending the remainder of his life being tested for disease not me... hahahaha

  • Cheating. I think that would tell me that our marriage was already over. If he were to do that, we'd both know there was no marriage left to cling to. Betrayal is one thing we do not do.

  • Adultery. Our great sex life is what has held us together thru our 12.5 yrs of marriage which included some really really rough times. (job loss, finacial issues, repeat miscarriages, depression, major construction, growing, falling in/out of love, etc...). So if either one of us were to commit adultery and violate that special bond between us, it would be over.
