Can you determine gender at 16 weeks?

At my next dr. apt i will be 15 weeks and 1day will i be able to determine the gender of my baby with an ultra sound at this point? If not how soon can find out what im having?

  • They usually like to wait till 18-20 weeks but sometimes they can see at 15 or 16....if they can tell they will let you know if not then they'll bring you back.

  • It is possible. But my baby wouldn't show me until I was 35 weeks.

  • Also the doctor waited until 22 weeks until we started trying to see.

  • depends if your baby wants to show his or her 'goods'
    but if in goos position-yes can tell

  • I found out at 15 weeks, but I went and had a 4D ultrasound done. I dont know if the traditional ultrasound can pick it up that early..
    But I went to my Dr for a traditional ultrasound at about 17-18 weeks, and they also said it was a girl...
