  • Do they stop when you lay down on your left side real still?

    Have they gotten worse?

If they stop when you lay down or change positions or if they go away or don't get worse or closer together, then, no. Just keep a mental not when you feel them and keep track.

Once they are getting worse and are closer together and waves...you probably are.

  • I personally wouldn't go running to the hospital yet... but then again I didn't go until I couldn't take the pain anymore. I'd wait and see if they get closer together and stronger.

  • If this is your first then lay down and put your feet up. Don't worry unless your water breaks or you are having 5 or more contractions an hour. If its not your first pregnancy put your feet up and watch the clock if they get closer together call your doctor. My second baby came in 3 hours. Don't freak you'll know.

  • If they are an hour apart, they are BH at this point. Drink some water. Be sure to stay really hydrated for 2 reasons: 1) if they are BH, it will settle them down and 2) if its the start of real labor its even more important you stay hydrated to keep up your endurance. Good luck either way!
