  • Cause and effect type "fate" such as, I left a parking lot at this time traveling this direction, someone else left going in the opposite direction at a specific speed on the same track, fate would have it that we collided
Or fate as in "people destined to be together throughout the coourse of time no matter the distance, fate would find them"

The first yes, but fate is the wrong word for it I think, the second NO

  • Yes. You cannot avoid what is meant to be.

  • Fate as in things being pre-destined to happen or people being pre-destined to being something or doing something, no I don't believe in that, it's hard to say though....

  • No, though I do believe in karma (cause and effect.) Because the web of cause and effect is so huge and complex, it can look like predestination sometimes. But I do think we make choices and our choices have consequences... fate, to me, would mean that all our choices are predestined.

  • Not really, though I do believe there are things that are supposed to happen - doesn't mean they will though :)

Then again its easier to think of i like I believe God intends certain things for us, but He isn't going to force us into them. ;)
