  • i got a great recipe for braised carrots from the joy of french cooking by julia child.. u cut them into slices and put them in a pot with water sugar butter salt and pepper and let it cook for about an hr its delicious..if youre interested ill send u the full recipe

  • I like to roast them with some butter and chicken broth, then I season with garlic and thyme

  • My girls like carrots with brown sugar and maple syrup before cooking them and they love them. Or if raw carrots then maybe serve with dip

  • Cut in coins and saute with butter and brown sugar. Melt the butter and brown sugar first and then toss with the carrots coins until heated.

  • I like to make them with butter and sprinkled with a little dill.

  • Sunshine Salad
    5-6 c sliced carrots
    1 t salt
    1 c chopped onion
    1 c chopped green pepper
    1 can tomato soup
    1 c sugar
    1 t pepper
    1/2 c salad oil
    1/2 c vinegar
    1 t worchestershire sauce
    Cook carrots for 20 minutes, drain and cool. Cut into slices crosswise. Mix together other ingredients and pour over carrots. Cover and refrigerate for 10 hours. Serves 10
