DADT Repeal Fully Endorsed In Pentagon Study - thoughts?

%70 of the military supports the repeal of DADT. I know some of you seem to think the majority of the military are against gays serving. New studies done by the pentagon show that is not the case...

How do you think the repeal of DADT will effect our military?

  • I think it should be repealed asap. If ~30% are not ok with it, I'm sure it could be a struggle at first, as any change can be, but it's the right thing to do.

  • It's a process that can't happen overnight to change~ it would be naive to think it should just magically be changed NOW.... But it will happen... In time...

  • You'r right grly, the change won't happen over night.

I was shocked to read that so many other countries are ahead of us on this. Isreal, UK, South Africa, France & about 10 others have already allowed open gays in the military. Why are we behind on this when we're supposed to he "The land of the free"?

  • It needs to be voted on and repealed.  The vote and repeal could happen overnight.
