Aww! I hate things that need to be ironed!

I bought some wool pants today for a funeral and was disappointed that they'll need to be ironed. I haven't had to iron since I got married 11 years ago!
When was the last time you hauled the iron out?
I'm a "throw it in the dryer" kind of gal when it comes to wrinkle removal.

  • I hate to iron, and rarely iron any of my things. I just had the iron out this morning, clothes for my DH. He has to wear dress pants/shirts for work. At least the suits I can get drycleaned.

  • Water spray bottles and a little shake work wonders!!! I wear suits to work everyday and the only thing I iron are my placemats on the table, lol, sick I know.

  • Me too, hate to iron. Try a steamer, much better!

  • The last time I ironed was about three weeks ago. I had to iron the curtains in the foyer. I still need to press the kitchen curtains, but it took me over an hour to do the ones in the foyer and I was done.

I hardly ever iron. In fact, I send my husbands dress shirts out for laundry and pressing, because it is so time consuming. It would take me a minimum of 3 1/2 hours a week to do shirts if I pressed everything that I send out.

I do the kids nice shirts and the khakis once every few weeks.

  • I only iron when my SO needs to have something done for a meeting that he has to take for his mom. Otherwise when I worked in the medical field I ironed my scrubs every week and it would take me about 2 hours.

  • There is something called Wrinkle Reducer or similar.

When the clothes are kind of damp from the dryer, I would spray that on my shirts, dress slacks and smooth out the wrinkles and hang them, and the pants would have the correct crease and my clothes were decent enough without millions of wrinkles.
