Masala Chai or just chai.. Chai is just hindi for "tea" so I will assume (lol) that you would like a Masala Chai recipe.
This is what I use/how I make it.
Boil together MIlk and water (I prefer a higher milk ratio.. for a good creamy chai) I use jaggery for sweetner but sugar or any other is fine. It actually takes quite a bit of sugar in order to bring out the flavors of the spices, so you must really add your sweetner "to taste". I use loose black tea leaves, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, black pepper and cardomom (cardomom is pretty strong so I use a smaller amount of it. Again, these (except the tea leaves. lol) should be used to taste. All of these items should be boiled together makeing a "traditional" tea and then strained when served, or all used together in an infuser.
It will take a few times (most likely) before you get the flavor you want/like best. But it will happen if you just keep trying.
