  • Since it's impossible --and a recipe for a lifetime of misery --I didn't interfere with their attempts to do things. Still don't.

    And, I never considered them making mistakes or even changing their minds about accomplishing something to be 'failing.' The strong desire to avoid failing in life paralyzes people and stops them from learning.

  • If they go to school, I'm sure there's plenty of opportunities for them to fail (or come close to it or struggle in one way or another). So I don't see how you can NOT let them fail or struggle. It's just a part of life.
