How can you tell if you are pregnant while you are still nursing?

Would the over-the-counter pregnancy test still apply? Since I am still nursing, the lack of period is not indicative. what are the symptoms I should watch out for?

  • Take a home pregnancy test :) They work even if you are nursing.

  • A pregnancy test is a pregnancy test. Breastfeeding doesn't affect the results. The only time your results may not be accurate is if you take it too soon after giving birth because some of those hormones may still be present & give you misleading results.

  • Yes, an over the counter test will show if the HCG hormone is present in your urine which is indicative of pregnancy.
