does anyone know of a home remedy for unclogging a shower drain??

everytime i have a shower it almost turns into a bath..LOL..its so annoying!!

  • Baking soda & Vinegar will "blow" the clog apart... Then you can just use a wire hanger to pull out the remains...

    Also if you dump about a cup of vinegar down the drains every night before bed, you won't get the clogs in the first place...

  • It's most likely a hair clog. If you can unscrew the drain cap, unbend a coat hanger to pull out the hair.

  • Plunge first.

    Walmart sells some stuff here i think its liquid plummer gel and its specifically for hair clogs (we shed ALOT) It was about $5 and the stuff worked GREAT!

  • I use a box of baking soda usually the old box out of the frig., cheap white vinegar and a couple gallons of boiling water and toliet plunger. when tub is drained dump baking soda directly in drain, wash down with vinegar it will bubble up, then pour boiling water into drain when bubbling stops. After dumping boiling water use plunger and clog should move on.
