Vaccines for a 2 year old... ?

My son turned 2 in October ... up until then he was up to date on his shots... but then my husband lost his job, we lost our insurance... so we were not able to go to the DRs around his 2nd birthday to get the shot/ shots he needed then .... We were just able to get on onto the medical card ( caresource) and we found out we can just go to the health dept. to get his shots ( we didnt know we could do this ) ......

What immunizations is he up for ? ( what shot are they suppose to get at their 24 month appt ?)

  • The best way to find out what your son needs for vaccines is to call his doctor's office and ask what he is due for and also ask for a copy of his vaccine record. That way when you go to the health department they can see his record of what he has had and they can mark down on it what ones they gave him and you will have a 'current' copy for your records.
