  • 2.5ish? For my first... (who is now almost 5 and not delayed at all)

My younger son is 20 months and doesn't do it yet. He'll say phrases, but not put two separate words together. I expect he'll do it in the next 6 months or so.

Though, my mom was teasing him yesterday telling him he needs to learn to talk and he gave her the dirtiest look like "I don't *need* to talk Nana, that's what all you people are for!". It was hilarious... okay, guess you had to be there.

  • my dd is 20months and just started doing it more and more. all she really says is "all done" and "mom up". she hasn't said more then two words together then that. but she doesn't need too because she gets her idea across i am no rush for her to say more then one word at a time. she does copy more now though. and she points to things and says the word or sound. like cat and she says meow. no rush here. she can be 20yrs before she talks. its because i a talker and i come from a family of talkers so when she starts she will talk and talk and talk. i have a feeling. she pretends talk all the time though.
