  • Well, I think it depends on the person. If this is your first marathon, that's a great accomplishment! If you're used to doing a triathlon it probably doesn't seem like much.

  • I did a 5k with my 9 year old son. We finished together-it took us 40 minutes:) We walked and ran, surprisingly enough we were not the last to finish.

  • the 5k is a stepping stone for preparation for a longer race or a way for beginer runners to mesure their progress - most people I know who are serious about running do several 5k through out the year and seem to think nothing of it - personally I don't even want to drive 5K LOL - good luck if your thinking about running!
