  • The only real risk for most doughs is the raw eggs. But contrary to popular belief, raw eggs in themselves are not dangerous. It's the bacteria that could grow. As long as you're eating the dough cold, or directly after it's mixed, your risk is very very minimal.

  • In moderation. I wouldn't eat the whole batch, and I would eat it fresh, if you're going to eat it. I can't make cookies without eating a bunch of dough!!

  • the only reason they say dough isnt safe eat is cuz of the raw egg. most storebought refrigerated dough wont contain real egg so prob nothin 2 worry about but homemade dough is bad 4 u. just b careful.

  • My father buys rolls of cookie dough and eats it by the spoonful- no joke! He has never ever gotten sick form it! I totally agree with Sabrina.

  • I've eaten raw dough since i can remember (cookie, bread, whatever) and it's never made me sick. In fact, i have a big bowl of cookie dough in my fridge right now that i made a few days ago. I just throw a batch of cookies in when i feel like fresh cookies. I may or may not grab a spoonful of dough every time i walk by the fridge too. ;)
