Bomb Threat at School

What would you do if your 12 year old DD wrote the bomb threat on the bathroom wall and is now facing felony charges?
I don't know which end is up and I have no clue how to deal with this

  • She spoke to a crisis worker today and has an appt Mon morning, that was the 1st thing we did.

  • Then you really just need to go from there. It may be harmless but youreally need to figure that out. GL

  • Thank you. It's def not harmless, they evacuated the school, had dogs and police come in, the whole nine yards. She lied to all of us for days but when she was confronted with the police she confessed.

  • You need to get her counseling like others have said. And if it comes to it, make it residential care.

  • She probably wrote it while angry about something, and was then scared of getting in trouble so kept her mouth shut. I wouldnt think she was insane until she has been evaluated...

  • Counseling is a must, there's obviously something going on in her head and she won't talk to any of us. She has a history of lying to everyone that no matter what we do doesn't get resolved. She is acting like she did nothing wrong since they released her to us and didn't take her to juvenile detention center. I am at a loss
