  • My son never had one. My daughter used/uses a soothie, she was in the NICU and they shove them in there mouth like they're made of candy!

  • I never gave either of my boys a pacifier and they were both fine with it. The oldest spit it out and I just never bothered with the youngest. If he doesn't want it, that's not a bad thing, just let him be.

  • i use the Avent binkies. The nipple is sized my how many months your child is. It's a little bit more pricier then a normal 2.99 or 3.9 binky. The AVENT are around 5.99 sometime 6 for 2. My son wasn't a binky baby and any baby will choose booby over binky. It's something you have to keep pushing sometimes. My mother always says we really forced or pushed my son to like binkies.

  • thats what im probrably going to have to do. she would rather take the boob than a binky even when shes not hungry

  • I tried holding off on the binky but gave in REALLY early. I tried the binky with my son when he was only 3 days old just trying to find something to soth his crabby self. I'm telling you He took to that binky faster then he has ever latched on to the boob!! Some babies love binky's while others wonder why on earth you keep cramming that plastic thing in their mouth! LOL I planned on using the avent bottles so I also went with the avent pacifiers. I had to swicth bottles and went with the Tommee Tippee bottles but he would never switch to any other pacifier.
May I ask why you want to get your LO on a pacifier so badly? It's just going to be that much more of a pain to try and get the child off of it later on in life.

  • I agree with Crazy. My kids never seemed interested so I didn't push it!
