Do you think its a good idea...

to get to your ideal weight before conceiving? I am within weight limits right now. I'm not overweight nor underweight, however with the holidays present I have recently put on about 10 pounds since summer. My weight fluctuates 10-20 pounds all year, year after year. i'm never overweight or underweight, always within my limits. But I;'m not fitting in my clothes currently like I would like to with the added 10 pounds and wasn't planning on doing any extra calorie-cutting til after Christmas lol. BUT, dh and I have been talking more and more about ttc early 2011. Do you think I should trim the 10 lbs now or wait or what? I don't want even extra weight to lose after the baby if I don't shed it before ttc.

  • Be happy and healthy.

If you should lose weight to be healthier then yes.
If your ideal weight is near where you are / not really reasonable (*ideal* is subjective...) then forget "trying" to be a particular weight because it's very likely to change son anyhow~~

Learn about how to be healthy prior to and during pregnancy, and after.
    (Do you have a midwife?)

    Good luck!

  • Well depends on you're method. I would think if it involved cutting nutrient intake than it wouldn't be in the best interest of the baby butt thats just a personal opinion.
