Buying a Microwave...

So what makes a "good microwave"? How much should you expect to spend on a nice one? What to look for?
It doesnt need to be fancy. We put in time. enter. wait for DING. Oh & sometimes I use the "timer" on it for timeouts (lol)..
The microwave we have now has "features" that are never used... but its about 10-15oyrs old & the digital numbers are going out in it & the inside is not looking so good so time for an Upgrade!

  • get one with at least 1000 watts so it cooks faster and alot of foods have the heating instructions for ovens over 1000 watts

  • Don't go by brand names. Many Big name appliance manufacturers like GE, Whirlpool, etc.....contract out their microwaves to other companies.

    You need one that is at least 1000 watts.
