How much does a pound of hamburger cost where you live?

  • depends. The 'roll' is about 1.99. The lean is closer to 3.25 per pound.

  • if it is pre packed before it gets to the store about 1.80 if it is ground at the store about 2.25

  • 1.65 a pound and it's lean. I buy a 1/2 cow instead of getting it at the store. It's grain fed so it's lean and I can request the cuts I want and then use the rest for ground beef. That being said, I get t-bone, filets, and roasts for 1.65/lb too.

  • depends where i get it. one grocery store is $3.85 for pre-packaged ground chuck (85% lean). wal mart is $2.57 for pre packaged ground chuck. another store is anywhere from $1.89 - $2.49 for ground-in-the-store chuck. last time we butchered our own we paid $1.65 per pound for everything (85%, steaks, roasts, etc).

  • The cheap 70/30 is $2.86/lb the 80/20 I buy is $3.45/lb (this is for the packages and NOT the rolls)
