I Couldn't Care Less....

Any words or phrases you hear a lot that people mess up and it drives you crazy because theyre saying it wrong??

Such as:

EXpresso rather than Espresso...

I hate when ppl say "I could care less"(because it doesnt make sense).

If you could care less, than that means you still somewhat care.
if you couldn't care less, that means you truly DONT care.

  • I have seen this question posted before. I really don't pay much attention. I can usually understand what somebody means.

  • I don't like when people say "over exaggerate". It's redundant.
I agree with you about "I could care less". It just doesn't make any sense and I always notice when someone says (or writes) it.

  • I don't like it when people use an analogy and preface it with "if you will?" as in, if you'll allow me to use this example ..I WILL, I'M LISTENING, OK? It's like they're assuming they're so brilliant and you're so not, or that you might have trouble following a train of thought that is off the beaten path or something, it strikes me as both ignorant and condescending at the same time.

  • "Irregardless" isn't a word.
    "Hopefully" is frequently misused.
"Can I ax you a question?"
    It's pronounced "nuke-lear" not "nukey-lar".
