shopping for teens (on a budget)

Any suggestions for my 13 year old daughter and 12 year old nefew???

  • 13? Nail polish, straightening iron (cheap ones at walmart-- the thin models can double as a curling iron if you twist it as you pull it through your hair). See if there's a place called Nearly Perfect Shoes anywhere in your area. Or ANY store that sells VERY lightly-worn shoes or clothing. If you want to add to her wardrobe, sneak over to Goodwill or another store like it. Goodwill has gotten a lot better over the years about being more selective about the stuff they sell.

    OH MAN! For my 13th christmas, my mom let me streak my hair blonde and then dye the streaks green. We used at-home kits.
