Christmas Tree

What kind of tree do you usually get? We've had white pine, a fir and another species I don't recall and each of them had issues (white pine didn't have a good fragrence and the branches bent under very little weight; the fir was pretty, held ornaments but the needles hurt so much when we were hanging and removing the ornaments and it shed miserably).

What would your recommendation be?

  • Well we are doing the fake tree thing until the kids get a little bit older.. but before the kids we would always get a Douglas Fir.. they smell wonderful and they have the soft needles. Also they don't seem to shed as much until they are EXTREMELY dried out (as do most trees anyway)
