hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder

okay i have a jar of this and on the back is a recipe for how to make hot cocoa out of it. but it calls for vanilla extract which i dont have, obviously i can go buy some, but just wondering if it's really needed? is there anything i can use in it's place?

  • You can use peppermint extract instead of the vanilla extract if you have some.
