colored salt dough ornaments... recipes?

I found several online and they are all little different!! do you have one you have used and know works well?

  • I like the cornstarch clay better than the salt dough, it makes a prettier finished piece. Here is my recipe..

  • We always used equal amount of salt and flour....say like 1 cup salt, 1 cup flour and then added water until it looked like dough...??

  • do you cook yours. some did some didn't. I wanted to add color some use food coloring some powdered paint and others kool-aid! I am so confused! lol.

  • We didn't always "cook" ours. If we had time to let it air dry we did, if not we put it in the oven, i think at 200 degrees. The recipe above looks excellent. I checked out her site...awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
