does your toddler eat eggs?

I really want my boys to start loving eggs because we get a ton from Wic and it would be a really great, easy breakfast if they would eat them.
i've tried scrambled and i've tried hard boiled and they dont seem to like them at all

what are some other ways i could try them?

  • Neither of my kids thought eggs were food until they were much older, and strangely their first 'acceptable' way of eating them was quiche. Specifically, broccoli and onion quiche. Weird little people.

One will now eat scrambled eggs --she's 21. Her 19yo sister doesn't like them at all, except rarely deviled. Like one at Christmas, kind of rarely.

  • My son always hated eggs & still does. So does his dad, so I think they both just have an innate dislike of them.

My sister in law (who is Spanish) makes a great thing called tortilla di patatas. I make it for myself a lot - it is delicious and cheap!

  • Yes, he'll eat them scrambled and he likes egg salad sandwiches (but not hard boiled eggs by themselves so much). I usually scramble them with cheese, and he really likes that. He has also eaten spinach quiche, and I liked that too.

  • He has always absolutely loved eggs. He eats them pretty much anyway I cook them, but other than scrambled we also do quiche, french toast, and omelettes.

  • My son wont eat an egg for anything!! Not scrambled deviled..nothing!! So as of now I quit trying!! Im going to make breakfast burritos this week and see how he does, theres egg hidden in there! I think its more a texture issue than anything! But IDK we shall see, theres not much my giant doesnt eat so I try not to force it on him..

  • My daughter likes scrambled eggs with ketchup, likes dippy eggs with toast and she always likes to steal our western omelettes. Everything seems to taste better when it's on my plate! She also loves egg salad on deli flats. You could also make french toast to get some eggs in them. Here is a recipe for the tortilla de patatas.

  • Don't forget that it takes many, many times offering a food before a toddler may actually decide to eat a food. Until 1 month ago, my son would not eat eggs unless they were stuck to bread in the form of French toast!  Finally, he wanted some of my eggs and they were done over medium (no runny whites).  He has eaten several since.  Other ways to try eggs? With Cheese, over hard, hard-boiled, poached, etc ... Oh, and I always put an egg into the pancake batter when I make them (sneaky me).  Keep trying, but don't be too forceful!
