Question about antibodies and autism?

My son showed high levels of antibodies on his last test. The lab test results say " IGE, Serum Out of range: 439 High"
The reference range is 220 or less. The doctor said that my son must have a cold at the moment of the test but I know that he was not sick at the time of the test. Is there any other way to interpret these tests results?

  • he was fighting some sort of infection....it doesn't mean that he had to be showing signs of it. the body was fighting the germs. but i'm just curious what antibody level might have to do with autism?
