Why did she throw up so much?

My baby is 5 weeks old and just threw up all over an outfit.. then she threw up all over another outfit. She had just finished 6 ounces of formula. Did she just eat to much or is it normal?!

  • normal she may have just eating to much that time around. my son always spit up after every time he ate. we discovered at about 5weeks he had acid reflux so if it continues and its alot more like she threw up and not just spit up a little then talk with your dr.

  • did you burp her real good? maybe try burping her for longer next time (then she might just spit up instead of throwing up)

  • It happens. If your LO spits up a full belly's worth after every feeding for 3 feedings call your ped, otherwise it's pretty much par for the course.

  • Well, it is normal but can be a sign of lactose intolerance and also a sign of NOTHING. Keep an eye on her and if it becomes a habit, feed her four ounces and half an hour later feed her the rest.
