What is the best thing for a 5yo with a really bad cough?

It sounds like he has some chest congestion and he has been coughing a lot since he went to sleep. Is there anything I can give him that will help?

  • honey and rub him down with vicks, a vaporizer would help him too

  • Place a few pillows or towels underneath the mattress so that he's sleeping in an elevated position.

  • Delsym cough medicine for children, really helped my son with his cough and cold. Also honey and plenty of fluids. Hope this helps.
