Do you prefer blinds or curtains/drapes?

We have both throughout our house. For blinds, we have more insulated ones vs mini-blinds.

  • c. None of the above.

We only have curtains on bedroom windows, and our backyard (where our room overlooks) is so private we only have curtains on that room because dh wants them. I hate the way the cut into the view. I prefer (and buy) houses with HUGE windows on purpose and don't want them even an inch smaller.

  • We have mini blinds on all but one window and the one has a roller shade. I want to get something new but haven't been able to afford it yet. I do like mini blinds though for privacy since my neighbor's favorite pastime is to stare at our house.

  • both :) I have mini blinds and drapes over our bedroom window, because our neighbor's house is below ours, and can see up through the blinds, and our other neighbors can see a bit through the drapes, so I have both on the "important" windows. later, I will probably get roman shades with the drapes over the top, or some nice wooden shutter style blinds. I hate to look at mini and vertical blinds, but I see the practicality.

  • I prefer drapes! I think they add a nice, formal look to my rooms. I like my Croscill window treatments best - I've gotten a lot of compliments on them!
