Who do you miss most, this time of year?

I was just looking at my decorations and thinking how much my mom would enjoy them, and my kids. Sometimes I wish I could have just a visit with her, as she was before the Alzheimer's.

If you could have someone "back" with you for a holiday visit, who would it be?

  • My father. He passed nearly 2 years ago (right after Xmas); I did not get to spend his last Xmas with him because we were out of town visiting my in-laws that year. I miss him terribly.

  • My daughter's father the way he was before drugs. I would love us to be a family once again. But he's made bad choices so it is better he's not around.

  • My grandfather died Thanksgiving weekend 1987. I wish I could see him again. I wonder what he'd say about his great-grandsons and his other granddaughter (my cousin) that was born after he passed. He was always the stability and the light in our family, and without him, we've just never been the same.
