to type a paper for someone?

  • Are you just typing it out from a rough copy? If so, I'd say $3 per page is more than enough.

  • That depends a lot on your market. Check out the notice boards at your local college to see what most people are charging.

  • I don't think $3 per page is enough. It wouldn't be worth the bother to do it. I would charge $7 - $10 per page.

  • I'd probably charge by the hour. What is your time worth to you? I used to wait tables and averaged $25 an hour, so I guess that's what I'd probably charge, I think I'm worth that much, lol..sad.

  • Yes, that does sound very cheap. How large of a paper is it? If it's lengthly, you'll probably be better off charging by the hour. If it's short than try either a flat fee of, for example, $30.
