should i bring my poinsettia inside tonight?

we are under a freeze watch tonight. i was under the impression poinsettia's can withstand cold weather. but its small and i dont want it to die. just curious whether or not i should bring it in or cover it?

  • Yes, bring it in. They are grown in southern climates in Mexico.

  • Well if you have any pets be careful, poinsettas are toxic to cats and dogs, etc.

  • even though we like poinsettas at Christmas time, i've heard that they really do not like the cold weather.

  • it will die, go ahead and take it in but yes keep it away from kids and pets - toxic to everyone
