Do more expensive tealights (Yankee candle or Partylite) burn longer than cheaper ones (Dollar Store or Dollar General)?

  • If you have an Ikea near you, get a pack of their tea lights. I bought a 100 pack for about $3, and they burn for 2-3 hours - they burn clean, evenly, and I've never had any problems with them. For the price, it can't be beat - and its a heck of a lot cheaper than Yankee Candle.

  • I think so. They also burn 'cleaner'. Not as much soot and smoke.

  • Snip the wick and put them in the freezer. You'll get a lot more life out of any candle. :0)

  • Partylite are the best, they burn clean (no black smoke).. Yankee's aren't clean

  • They definitely do; they burn longer and cleaner. The wicks are also always centered - much safer. I have had a few of the cheap tealights "burn out" on the side. Yankee Candle has sales all the time online, you can get great deals.

  • They burn longer, and no smoke. I think they're worth the money.

  • In my experience yankee burns longer, cleaner and retains orginal smell throught the use of the candle.
