  • i would do a google search for toys for tots in your area. also you can try local churches and see if they have programs that could help.

  • USMC Marine Corps League hands out the Toys for Tots or call the local USMC recruiting office they'll know who to talk to.

  • Local churches often have programs, talk to the schools as well. They usually know who is running programs. If you can scrape together a few dollars, I would skip the tree & hit the dollar stores or thrift stores for gifts. Spend Christmas with your kids--play games, watch a favorite movie, make some simple cookies, sing songs. Make the day special because you have each other & are spending it together, not because of what you can or cannot buy them. If your kids are older, maybe they could help volunteer somewhere for Christmas--seeing people in a shelter who literally have nothing might make them realize how fortunate they are to have a Mom who loves them.

  • Go down to your local police station and talk to them... the have a program for the kids where the policemen will take them shopping... Hope that helps!
