My grandson has sucked on his hands and made them very sore. What can we put on them to heal?

  • Bag balm - same thing they use on cows udders (I've seen it in the lotion area of Wal-Mart) and put mittens or gloves on his hands at night.

  • Try putting mittens on his hands so it doesn't suck on his bare hands. You just have to do your best to keep them dry. Don't put any lotions on it.

  • I would put some aquafor on them and then put on some little baby socks, or those little mittens they make for babies...

  • Eucerine and Kari are both recommended for infants. That is what my pediatrician told me to use. I got Kari.

  • is he breastfed? use some breastmilk if possible. its natural and should work.

  • Vaseline. Derm told us that Aquaphor is just overpriced Vaseline, and it works wonders for DD's eczema.
