Why isn't my Wii reading discs?

  • Dvd's or games? Wii doesn't play DVDs. I found that out the hard way and was sad about it.

  • Well either everyone of your discs is too scratched OR more than likely the system got too hot and it fried the lens. The same thing happened to ours. You can either send it in, take it to someplace that does those type of repairs or buy the part off amazon or somewhere and have hubby fix it.

  • You can try going to the Nintendo website and seeing if there are any known issues with those specific games. Strange I know but when I was researching the same thing I came across some info about it. Sorry I don't have it anymore otherwise I'd post it for ya.

  • I tend to put them in backwards.. not saying you are. Uh. You can also reset it Theres a button on the front.. I've had to unplug and replug it back in for it to do it too.
