  • I know how your Mom feels, Sweet a kins.
Those of us who lived through those tragedies have that fear. Both the Kennedy men were good men and the ones who killed them were trying to control the country by eliminating them. I guess they suceeded.

I sure hope that Anon doesn't hurt her eyes from rolling them so much. Hahha. SHe has no clue about the reality of what has been happening in the USA. I bet she was born in the 80's.....too young and flakey to even know what I am talking about,

  • 9/11. I remember I was at a Dr. app with my MIL. It is hard to believe it is going on 10 years ago. I remember like it was yesterday.

  • I'm too young to remember JFK. I remember Challenger exploding. Elvis Presley dying. John Belushi and Karen Carpenter dying. Reagan assassination attempt, along with Pope John Paul II and Anwar Sadat.

  • 9/11--as a traumatic event in and of itself and on a personal level, my parents were about to travel to Austria on 9/11 and my brother was in California. I was alone about to leave for one of my classes wondering if my parents were going to be ok. They were, but I was worried for several hours until I finally heard something.

    Obama's acceptance speech

    Princess Diana's crash

    The Challenger

John Lennon's death--although I was very young so I remember my mom's reaction, but I'm not sure I really knew what happened at first.
