  • Merry Christmas.

  • Both, Christmas is a Holiday so I say both...

  • Since I (my family) does not celebrate a holiday in the month of December. I'm a "Happy Holidays" gal for the most part. Well, when it comes to strangers & acquaintances that is. Those who I know celebrate a specific holiday, I will address the specific holiday. For the most part though, it's "Happy Holidays', since I have no way of knowing what a stranger celebrates.

  • Either is fine with me, but I usually say Merry Christmas, as I celebrate Christmas, not "the Holidays".

  • Merry Christmas!

  • First, I don't feel that the image you're using really paints a negative picture (no pun intended) on the people who do not celebrate Christmas. We do, so we say Merry Christmas. However, I would just as willingly wish someone a Happy Hanukkah, Blessed Yule or anything else. It's about good will toward man - no matter what religion you practice or words you choose.

  • I say both Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays...Holiday is derived from Holy Day and the birth of Jesus is a Holy day so either are good for Him:-)

Answer by the_kimmers at 11:21 AM on Dec. 8, 2010

  • Either. I'll take Happy Hanukah, Happy Yule, and Happy Kwanzaa too.

That has to be the dumbest picture I've ever seen.
