MOMS WITH A MIRENA IUD... adult content

Ok so i got my mirena in May of this yr i didnt have a period last month, is this normal? Also, i've heard that you have to check the "threads" every month but my Dr. didnt tell me this, could some one please explain this to me and is there anyway i could be pregnant?? HELP

  • I haven't had a period in 4 yrs. I have never been able to feel my strings either, which now they have backed up into my cervix. The dr. can't even see them. I had an US just to make sure it was still in place (it was).

  • well its s good idea to check the threads, however if it comes out you will most likely know. and yes its completely normal and one of the perks to not get your period. i didnt have one fore 3 years, until it fell out and i got pregnant lol

  • I had a mirena put in 6 weeks after having my son and taken out a year later. I didn't have a period that entire year plus the 9 mths of being pregnant of course.

    As long as you can feel the strings then you are fine.

  • I didn't know that it had came out until I found out I was pregnant. That might not always be the case, but it was with me.
