  • It depends on the doctor I suppose. I have nerve damage because they gave me too many epidurals. They gave me four of them.

  • You don't get a choice with a c-section. An epidural doesn't numb enough to allow for major abdominal surgery. You will get either a spinal block (and not the birth defect) or general anesthesia (which only happens in extreme cases these days).

  • There's info in the link below regarding epidural, spinal, and general anesthesia.

  • ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spina Bifida is a BIRTH DEFECT!!!!!!!!!!!

And usually the doctor will choose for you. My mom has 2 epidurals (that were already in place from labor) and 2 spinal blocks for her 4 c-sections.

She tried to labor twice and twice was taken in for c-sections because supposedly her pelvis is to small. I personally think it was a HUGE lack of information on the doctors part because they always had her laying on her back for labor.

  • I had 2 c-sections and was given the choice between an epidural and a spinal...I chose a spinal both times. I think most people do.
